All Alone

Time : 23:00
Weather : A slight breeze, not much.
Surroundings: The streets. A few drunks and buildings.

I wandered around the streets at night. Wondering where Millie had gotten to. I shrugged it off she'd probably gone somewhere with Danny. My dress ruffled in the slight breeze. The pink chiffon dancing. As I wandered, I saw humans. My eyes were bright crimson and my throat burned. I needed to hunt but I wished that there was an alternative to my diet.
I was about to go up to them and invite them back home. Until I heard faint footsteps behind me. I spun to look at the newcomer.

I was walking down the street. A package under my arm. I'd just been to the post office to pick up the parcel my aunt had posted me. I knew what it was it was my mums diary, the thing she wrote everything in before she was murdered. I wasn't really paying attention to anything around me, until I saw the girl infrount of me stop and turn to face me.

I realised that the girl was a human and stopped breathing. "Hi." I used up the last of my breath.,I noticed the girl was holding a package and was curious, but surpressed it.

I smiled. I was sure I recognize this girl but fm were? Do I know you I asked

"Erhm.. Yes. From the café." I smiled. I concentrated and took a deep breath. My throat burned but I resisted it. I was not going to give up easily. If it came to it, I could always use my gift to make her run. Like I should now, but what good would it do to lose friends before I'd gained them?

Oh yeah, ermmm are you ok, you look like your in pain? I asked

I was surprised by her observation.
"I'm fine." I smiled. It was a half-truth. "Where are you going?" I asked, nodding towards her package.

Oh just something from my auntie. I told her. Do you go to my school? I'm sure your in my P.E

"Yes, you're right." I laughed. "I have a completley different mindset now to the one at school. Sorry."

I laughed with her. Same I said.

I wasn't sure, but she seemed a little uncomfortable. But, then again. I was never any good at reading people. "Do you need to be somewhere?"
